Enrollment in excess of these guidelines can be approved by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research based upon the recommendation of the student’s adviser.

Full-time Status

A graduate student is considered a full-time student if enrolled for a minimum of eight credit hours during the fall, winter or summer semesters. To be classified as a half-time student, four credits for fall, winter or summer are required. Graduate assistants are required to enroll in a minimum of six credit hours each semester, but are not considered full-time graduate students unless they are enrolled in the minimum eight credit hours.
