This course introduces essential safety practices for welding and fabrication and provides an overview of welding, thermal cutting, mechanical cutting, and fabrication. Students apply safety procedures while producing basic welds using the SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW-G processes and completing introductory thermal cutting and fabrication tasks.
