AN 478 - Modern Human Variation Offered Fall: No Offered Winter: Yes Offered Summer: No Offered Other: No 4 Credits Hours (Lecture - Discussion - Lab): 4-0-0 Prerequisites: Junior standing.
In this course, we will: (1) explore the history of the study of modern human variation; (2) become familiar with the theoretical frameworks used; (3) survey many of the factors known to shape human biology; (4) become familiar with the study designs and methods used; and (5) gain a better appreciation for the field of human biology as a subfield of biological anthropology. This course includes lab-based exercises that enhance student learning of course content.
