HL 205 - Holistic Health

Humans are holistic beings. This course introduces students to multi-dimensional factors affecting mental and physical health, including agency effect on health (e.g., impact of genetic vs preventive/proactive elements on health); impact of diverse social factors on health; impact of creative art forms such as music, the fine arts, and poetry, on health; and transcending activities such as Tai Chi (Taiji) practice to cultivate balance and inner peace. Students will be able to explore the multi-dimensional effects of diverse factors on health, and learn hands-on Tai Chi (Taiji) postures.
