BI 408 - Forensic Microscopy

Prerequisites: BI 111, BI 128 and BI 218, or instructor permission; BI 308 recommended.

This course provides students with the necessary background and skills for the application of various forms of microscopy in the forensic sciences. Emphasis will be on the fundamentals necessary for identification and characterization of forensic trace evidence such as glass, hair, fibers, soil, bullets, fingerprints and biological samples. Participants will be trained to view and interact with human remains.
