EL 041 - Instruments Offered Fall: Yes Offered Winter: No Offered Summer: No Offered Other: No 2 Credits Hours (Lecture - Discussion - Lab): 1-0-4 This course provides an introduction to the fundamental skills and knowledge required for electrical utility installation and maintenance with a focus on tools and techniques involved in the construction of electrical power lines. Students will learn essential techniques such as knot tying, rope splicing, and the identification and use of industry-specific tools, materials, and heavy equipment. Additionally, the course covers revenue metering for single and polyphase services, including meter forms, socket checks, and safety precautions to ensure proper installation and operation.
