Electrical Line Technician students learn how to repair complex electrical systems, operate large trucks and other heavy equipment, and work safely aloft utility poles which requires a significant amount of applied practice. Therefore, lab contact hours in these programs can range from 2 to 4 contact hours per credit.
Please note that in addition to the course requirements listed below, Electrical Line Technology student must also meet the following graduation requirement:
Before graduation, ELT students must earn a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) from an accredited driving school. Students who do not already have a CDL may earn it through NMU’s Department of Continuing Education and Workforce Development.
