History Major


Provides the necessary background for professional careers in post-secondary teaching, law, politics, business, the ministry, government service, journalism, publishing, archival work, museum work or historic preservation.

Traditional History Concentration 31-32 Credits


Choose three courses from the following:
History (HS) Electives 19-20 Credits

  • No more than four credits at the 100 level.
  • No more than four credits at the 200 level

Global History Concentration 31-32 Credits

Choose one course from the following: 4 Credits

Choose one course from the following: 4 Credits

Regions and Themes 12 Credits


History (HS) Electives 7-8 Credits


  • Minimum 3 credits at the 300 level or above
