Art and Design Major

The Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in Art and Design provide students with the technical, creative, and critical skills to excel in diverse art and design practices. Students can combine the BS/BA in Art and Design with many different majors, minors, and courses across the university to work toward specific career goals.

A maximum of 20 credits of Art and Design courses may be used in this category.

Notes:


Students must take a world language through the intermediate 202 level in order to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts designation.

* AD 181  may not be used as an Art and Design elective or Art History elective. Students may substitute GR 311 /HS 311  for an art history elective with advisor approval.

**Students must select a studio emphasis for AD 303 : Individual Art Review. Emphasis options may include Ceramics, Digital Cinema, Drawing, Electronic Art and Animation, Furniture Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Jewelry, Illustration, Metalsmithing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, or Woodworking. An interdisciplinary emphasis may be selected (for example, Ceramics+Photography). Refer to the AD 303 prerequisites for additional information.
