WD 243 - Advanced Multi-Positional Welding

Prerequisites: WD 140 or WD 180.

Students will develop the skill necessary to complete acceptable multiple pass welds in all positions on various joint types with the SMAW, GMAW, FCAW-GS processes on carbon steel plate and pipe. Students will also be introduced to plasma cutting and gouging, and mechanized thermal cutting techniques.
