Prerequisites: EL 042.

This course covers electrical power system design, including the creation of one-line, elementary, highway, and wireless diagrams, as well as staking sheets for single-phase and three-phase systems. Students will gain hands-on experience with underground cable preparation, utility pole installation and removal, and wishbone transmission line construction. Emphasis is placed on interpreting verbal instructions to create electrical drawings, performing substation planning, and safely retiring three-phase lines while maintaining proper site cleanup and industry best practices.
