Marine Biology Certificate

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Certificates & Certifications

This program is pending NMU Board of Trustees approval. The board will meet Thursday July 9 - Friday, July 10.

This certificate is designed to enhance the experience of students interested in pursuing a career in marine biology. The expectation is that most students completing this certificate will be majors in the sciences, but it is open to all students assuming that they have taken the needed prerequisite courses. This combination of courses will assist students in preparing for a graduate degree in marine biology, which is the most typical pathway for a career in this field. We also encourage students to seek specific marine biology career advising within the Biology Department.
