Elementary Education PK-3, 3-6 Major


The coursework and clinical experiences in the Bachelor of Science Elementary PK-3, 3-6 dual-endorsement major is designed to develop individuals who are ready to enter the profession prepared to teach the core content areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. The dual-endorsement Elementary PK-3, 3-6 major aligns with the Michigan Department of Education grade band requirements and core teaching practices through coursework and 600+ hours of clinical experiences. Students with a major in Elementary PK-3, 3-6 must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the major with no grade below a “B-” in the major. Upon completion of the Elementary PK-3, 3-6 coursework, clinical experiences, and a passing score on the Michigan Teacher Test for Certification (MTTC), you will be recommended for a standard teaching certificate.
