Prerequisites: NU 301 , NU 302  and AH 102 .

Focus is on the nursing care of children, from infancy through adolescence, and their family units. Foundations of pediatric care, including growth and development, family theory, health promotion, disease prevention, and care of the child with simple and complex health care needs, are discussed.
