HS 202 - World History since 1400 [SOCR] [WC] Offered Fall: Yes Offered Winter: Yes Offered Summer: No Offered Other: No 4 Credits Hours (Lecture - Discussion - Lab): 4-0-0 General Education: Social Responsibility in a Diverse World (SOCR) and World Cultures University Requirement (WC) This course in world history focuses on the changing patterns of interaction among the world’s peoples from the early modern era to the present. The course examines these interactions in terms of trade, ideas and religion, and politics. The world history course aims to provide a framework for understanding the historical developments as interrelated phenomena and to explain the apparent disparities in today’s world in terms of their historical roots.
