NU 212 - Foundations of Professional Nursing Practice (Clinic) Offered Fall: Yes Offered Winter: Yes Offered Summer: No Offered Other: No 3 Credits Hours (Lecture - Discussion - Lab): 0-0-6 Co-requisites: NU 201 , NU 202 , NU 211 and NU 231 . Prerequisites: Admission to the nursing major.
This course is a combined lab/clinic course. During the first half of this course, students learn skills necessary to safely care for a diverse population. Upon completion of the lab portion of the course, students will enter into the clinical setting. Safe clinical practice focuses on the nursing process to care for the adult/geriatric population in a non-emergent health care setting.
