Prerequisites: “C-” or better in CH 111.

Topics include the study of phases of matter, properties of liquids and solids, properties and reactions of solutions, chemical equilibria, acid-base equilibria, kinetics, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. Other topics may include nuclear chemistry. Emphasis is placed on algebraic calculations and problem-solving skills. Principles of green chemistry will be emphasized.
